First Communion

Catholics believe that in the Eucharist we receive the Lord.  The Eucharist is traced to the Last Supper when Jesus instructed his disciples to offer bread and wine in his memory.  When we gather for this sacrament, we celebrate the life, death and resurrection of Christ.

First Communion is offered as of 2nd grade, however the child must have 1 prior year of formation before they can join the preparation group. Please see the St. Joseph’s Faith Formation page for more information. You may also email or call the Faith Formation Office at (608) 884-3038, option 2.
