Youth Formation (Grades 1-5)

All Youth Formation is held at St. Joseph’s from September through May on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30.  The general rule of thumb is if there is school, there is Faith Formation.  The class schedule is available digitally in an August Flocknote or on our newsletter webpage. It will be issued in paper at the first class and is available outside the Faith Formation office as of that date.

Children from Community Elementary primarily walk over and get to enjoy snacks and recess until they go to their graded classrooms.  Children from Yahara are driven over by their parents; if they arrive before 3:25, they also participate in snack and recess in the church basement.

Registration information is sent via Flocknote and Facebook post several times throughout summer.  Please visit the Formation Registration Page to register.  Graded Youth Formation is only offered in-person.

2023-2024 Annual Registration Fees for students Grades 1-9 are $75 each, maximum for a registered family is $175. We do offer discounts and waivers through volunteer programs within the church. Please reach out to contact information at the bottom of this page.

Sacramental Preparation for Youth
First Reconciliation & Eucharist – Students in 2nd grade and older (who have completed at least 1 full year of religious education class) will work on the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist at home, with their families. Orientation meetings with follow-up meetings are held throughout the year. There is an additional cost of $50.
