A Note About Sacramental Stipends

When sacraments are celebrated at the parish, there is a required stipend or fee that is paid to the priest.

For weddings, the stipend is $100 for the priest and a $100 for use of the church.

For funerals, the stipend is also $100. This is usually worked into the bill the family receives from the funeral home, along with a stipend for the pianist and the singer.

For baptisms, the stipend is no less than $25. Each family is expected to present the stipend after the baptism has been celebrated.

For Mass intentions, the stipend is $10.
